We were assigned to draw a still life using accurate proportion and line weight to portray the subjects. Using line weight was a way for me to represent depth and weight without shading in any of the objects. This was one of the first times I drew from observation, and with this project in particular, I was very interested in the details of creases on the bag and fabric.
The image above was my first attempt at using contour lines and it's only about a quarter of the size of my final drawing.
